Alamos Malbec is the varietal Malbec from Alamos, a line of Mendoza wines linked to the Catena Zapata group and brought to Brazil by the importer Mistral. The name comes from the poplars (álamos) planted along the edges of the vineyards, which protect the grapes from wind, pests and frost.

It is made with Malbec from vineyards between 1,000 and 1,500 meters altitude, in Vistaflores and areas near the Andes. The grapes are picked by hand, undergo 72 hours of cold maceration, ferment for 7 days in conical tanks and stay on the skins for up to 20 days; the wine rests for a few months in French and American oak barrels. The importer recommends serving it between 15 and 17 °C.
