Almadén Cabernet Sauvignon
by Almadén · Wine · Campanha Gaúcha, Brazil
Almadén is a wine brand born in 1852 in California that came to Brazil in 1973, when it set up its winery in Santana do Livramento, on the border with Uruguay, after research to choose a region for fine wines. The winery helped develop viticulture in the Campanha Gaúcha and now belongs to Grupo Miolo.
Almadén Cabernet Sauvignon is a varietal made with grapes from the brand's vineyards in the Campanha Central and carries the Campanha Gaúcha Indication of Provenance on its label. It sees no barrel, has 12.5% alcohol and an aging potential of five years. Almadén recommends serving it between 16 °C and 18 °C, with pasta, pizzas, risottos and roast or grilled meats.
