Amázzoni Gin

Amázzoni Gin is the standard gin from Amázzoni, founded in 2015 by Alexandre Mazza, Arturo Isola and Tato Giovannoni, with commercial production since 2016. The distillery is at Fazenda Cachoeira, an 18th-century former coffee farm in the Vale do Paraíba, in the state of Rio de Janeiro. In 2018, the house was named World's Best Craft Producer at the World Gin Awards.
The recipe combines five classic gin botanicals, such as juniper and coriander, with five Amazonian ingredients: aroeira (pink pepper), maxixe, Brazil nut, cacao and cipó-cravo. Each botanical is macerated separately, without essences, before distillation. It is a London Dry-style gin, sold in a 750 ml bottle at 42%.
