Azuma Comum is the standard sake from Azuma, a brand of Kikkoman do Brasil. Azuma was founded in 1934 to serve Japanese immigrants and presents itself as Brazil's first sake brewery. The company, which operated as Azuma Kirin under Kirin Holdings, was bought by Japan's Kikkoman in March 2020; production is in Campinas (SP).

It is made with polished Japanese rice, koji brought from Japan and water. The rice is washed, steamed and receives koji and yeasts; the moromi ferments for about 20 days, is pressed, pasteurized at 60–70 °C and matures for 20 to 25 days in stainless steel tanks before filtration. The producer recommends Comum for drinks with fruit and for cooking, in risottos and broths.
