Bacardí Limón
by Bacardí · Rum · Brazil, Cuba
Bacardí Limón is the lemon-flavored version in Bacardí's range of flavored rums, from the house founded in 1862 in Santiago de Cuba. The name is the Spanish word for lemon, and the brand says the flavor comes from three citrus fruits: lemon, lime and grapefruit. For the European version, Difford's Guide reports that the oils come from the peel of the fruit, scored by small blades, with no contact with the juice.
The version sold in Brazil is made in the country and is classified on the label as a lemon-flavored mixed alcoholic beverage, at 35% vol.; the bottle went from 980 ml to 700 ml. The ingredient lists published by retailers include rum, sugar, lemon juice and acidulants. The brand proposes mixing it with lemonade, in the Bacardí Limonade.
