Bacardí Reserva Ocho is the eight-year-old rum from Bacardí, a house founded in 1862 in Santiago de Cuba whose rums now come from Puerto Rico, as the label says. The brand says it follows a family recipe from 1862 and calls it the Family Reserve; according to Difford's Guide, it came onto the market in 1995 as a limited edition, in a Baccarat crystal decanter.

It is a blend of golden rums aged for at least eight years in oak barrels. Each bottle carries its own number on the label and the year in which the youngest rum in the blend went into the barrel. The house suggests drinking it over ice or in the Old Fashioned made with it, the Ocho Old Fashioned.
