Budweiser is a lager launched in 1876 in St. Louis, Missouri (USA), by Adolphus Busch and Carl Conrad, and now owned by AB InBev.

The name means "from Budweis", a town in Bohemia now called České Budějovice. In Brazil, Ambev began brewing it in August 2011, at the Jacareí (SP) plant, and the version sold here is produced in the country.

Ambev classifies it as an American Lager and lists water, malt, rice and hops on the Brazilian label. Beechwood chips are used during fermentation and maturation, a traditional process of the brand. The ABV stated by the manufacturer is 5%.
