Campo Largo Tinto Suave
by Campo Largo · Wine · Serra Gaúcha, Brazil
Campo Largo Tinto Suave is a sweet red table wine from Zanlorenzi, a family company from the town of Campo Largo (PR). It all began in 1942, when Carlos Zanlorenzi and his wife, Júlia, founded Zanlorenzi & Irmão; in 1973 the company adopted the name Vinhos Campo Largo. The sweet red is the group's best-selling label, and the brand leads sales of sweet table wine in southern Brazil.
It is made with American grapes, with a strong predominance of Isabel and a share of Bordô, grown in the Serra Gaúcha. The fruit is processed at the São Marcos (RS) facility, bought by the company in 1976, with capacity to receive up to 150,000 kilos per hour. Zanlorenzi recommends serving the wine between 12 °C and 16 °C.
