Terroir Chardonnay is the varietal white in the Terroir range from Casa Valduga, a family winery in the Vale dos Vinhedos, in Bento Gonçalves (RS). The family descends from immigrants from Rovereto, in northern Italy, who planted their first vines there at the end of the 19th century; the brand uses 'since 1875'. The Terroir range brings together varietals from several regions of Rio Grande do Sul.

The grapes come from the Vale dos Vinhedos, from clone Entav 95 trained on a vertical trellis, with selective hand-harvesting. After eight hours of cold maceration, the bunches are pressed in an inert atmosphere and the must ferments at 14 °C to 16 °C with selected yeasts, before stabilization and filtration. The house recommends serving it at 8 °C to 10 °C, with fish, seafood and cheeses.
