Esteban Martín Chardonnay-Macabeo is the white wine of the Esteban Martín line, from Bodegas Esteban Martín, in Alfamen, in the province of Zaragoza, in the D.O.P. Cariñena, Spain.
The family began in 1964 with a poultry farm; in 1985 Miguel Antonio Esteban bought 150 hectares of vineyards in Cariñena, and the winery's own cellar was built in 2003. Today the house works with about 400 hectares.
It is a blend of Chardonnay and Macabeo, from vineyards 20 to 65 years old, planted between 600 and 800 meters of altitude on gravel soil. According to Wine's technical sheet, it matures in stainless steel tanks. The winery states 13% alcohol and a vegan seal, and recommends it with fish and seafood, sushi, Thai cuisine, vegetarian dishes or as an aperitif.
