Fireball
by Fireball · Liqueur · United States, USA
Fireball is the cinnamon whisky liqueur from the Sazerac Company, of Louisville, Kentucky. It was developed in Canada by Seagram in the mid-1980s, as a flavor in the Dr.
McGillicuddy's range, and Sazerac bought the brand and the formula in 1989. In the United States, only bottles with 'Cinnamon Whisky' on the label have a whisky base; the 'Fireball Cinnamon' ones are malt- or wine-based drinks.
It combines Canadian whisky, cinnamon flavor inspired by the Atomic Fireball candy and sweeteners, and is bottled at 33% alcohol. The bottle sold in Brazil carries the export label, which describes it as a cinnamon and whisky liqueur, in 750 ml; there are also 50 ml miniatures. The brand promotes it as a shot and in mixes with cola, ginger ale or coffee.
