Gordon's London Dry
by Gordon's · Gin · United Kingdom
Gordon's London Dry is a gin created in 1769 by Alexander Gordon, who opened his distillery in Southwark, London, and moved it to Clerkenwell in 1786. The brand now belongs to Diageo and, since 1998, has been produced at the Cameron Bridge distillery in Fife, Scotland. The Gordon's sold in Brazil is not made here: it arrives imported from the United Kingdom.
According to Diageo, the gin is distilled three times from a recipe kept secret, with hand-picked juniper berries and three other botanicals. The original formula did without sugar, which made it a dry-style gin. The brand suggests preparing it with tonic water, in the Gordon's & Tonic.
