Haku Vodka
by Suntory · Vodka · Kagoshima and Osaka, Japan
Haku Vodka is the Japanese vodka from The House of Suntory, the spirits line of Suntory, a house founded in 1899. The bottle has a relief inspired by rice stalks in the wind and a washi paper label. According to the brand, it won a gold medal at an international spirits competition in 2024.
It is distilled from 100% Japanese white rice. The process begins in Kagoshima and ends in Osaka: the rice is fermented and distilled in pot and column stills, and the spirit is filtered through bamboo charcoal. It is bottled at 40%, and the house uses it in Martinis, such as the Haku Martini and the Haku Lychee Martini.
