Guaraná soft drink from Coca-Cola Brasil, launched in 1997. The name comes from a Tupi-Guarani word meaning "twin brother of the moon". The brand is part of Coca-Cola's guaraná portfolio in the country, which also includes regional brands such as Guaraná Jesus, Tuchaua and Charrua.
According to manufacturers in the Coca-Cola System, the drink contains guaraná produced in the Amazon region. The ingredient list combines carbonated water, sugar, guaraná seed, the acidity regulators citric acid and sodium citrate, flavoring, caramel color IV, potassium sorbate and sodium benzoate as preservatives and the sweeteners sodium cyclamate and saccharin. Coca-Cola Brasil gives 23 g of sugars per 350 ml serving.
