Lagunitas IPA

Lagunitas IPA is an American India Pale Ale from the Lagunitas Brewing Company, founded in 1993 by Tony Magee in the village of Lagunitas, California, and moved a year later to Petaluma. Heineken bought half of the brewery in 2015 and the rest in 2017. In Brazil, the IPA has been brewed since 2019 at the Eisenbahn plant in Blumenau (SC).
The Brazilian production went through approval by the American brewery, with standardized steps and imported ingredients. The recipe combines Cascade, Centennial, Chinook and Simcoe hops with Crystal, Caramel and Munich malts; the Brazilian label lists water, barley malt, wheat malt and hops. The producer states 6.2% ABV and 51 IBU.
