Leblon is a cachaça created in 2005 and produced at Destilaria Maison Leblon, in Patos de Minas, in western Minas Gerais, a distillery that makes only this brand; it now belongs to the Bacardi group. According to Wikipedia, the master distillers are Gilles Merlet and Carlos Oliveira, and the label won gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in every edition from 2006 to 2014.

The cane is cut by hand and taken straight to the distillery, where the whole stalks are pressed to extract the juice. Distillation is done in copper alembic stills, in batches, and the cachaça rests for up to six months in French casks that held cognac; the batches are then combined. It comes in at 40%, in a 750 ml bottle in Brazil, and the brand presents it as a base for the caipirinha.
