Licor 43 Chocolate
by Licor 43 · Liqueur · Cartagena, Murcia, Spain
Licor 43 Chocolate is the cacao version of Licor 43, the Spanish liqueur from the Zamora family made in Cartagena from a recipe of 43 ingredients. According to the house, it combines Licor 43 Original with selected cacao; it came out as a limited edition for Christmas 2021 and, given its reception, became a permanent part of the range.
The botanicals, the Mediterranean citrus fruits and the cacao, from sustainable sources according to the producer, are macerated in water and alcohol, separately or in groups, and then brought together in the recipe's proportions; finally the mixture is homogenized. It contains dairy derivatives, such as cream and milk protein. The brand recommends shaking the bottle and serving it well chilled, at 0 °C to 5 °C, over ice, or with coffee in a version of the Carajillo 43.
