Passion fruit concentrate from Maguary, a juice brand created in 1953 in Paraíba, with a factory in Aracati (CE) since 1974. In 2015 the British company Britvic bought Ebba, owner of Maguary and Dafruta; in 2025 Britvic became part of Denmark's Carlsberg, and the local operation is now called Britvic Brasil.
It is not a ready-to-drink beverage: it is a liquid concentrate for making a soft drink, with no added sugar. The label lists not-from-concentrate passion fruit juice, water and concentrated passion fruit juice, and, among the additives, citric acid, xanthan gum, the preservatives sodium benzoate and sodium metabisulphite, carmine coloring and antifoaming agent. The recommended preparation is 1 glass of the product to 9 of water, sweetened to taste; once opened, it must be kept refrigerated.
