Martini Bianco
by Martini · Liqueur · Brazil, Italy
Martini Bianco is the white vermouth from Martini & Rossi, a house founded in 1863 in Pessione, near Turin, and owned since 1993 by the Bacardi group. According to Difford's Guide, the recipe was launched in 1910, almost half a century after Rosso, which dates from 1863.
The version sold in Brazil is made in the country with white table wine, natural plant extract, sugar and alcohol; the Brazilian label mentions an infusion of more than 40 botanical species. The Italian recipe uses white wines such as Trebbiano, charcoal-filtered, and Alpine herbs. The house suggests serving it neat, over ice or in the Bianco Spritz, with sparkling wine, soda, mint and lemon.
