Montilla Carta Branca is the light version of Montilla rum, a brand launched in Brazil in 1957 by the Canadian company Seagram and now owned by Pernod Ricard, which also owns the Carta Ouro and Carta Cristal versions. The name comes from the municipality of Montilla, in Andalusia, and the pirate on the label, drawn by the illustrator Benício, became the brand's symbol.

According to the brand text published by retailers, it is a blend of rums that takes on a slightly golden color during aging in oak barrels, with no age statement. It is sold in a 1-liter bottle, with 38% alcohol.
