Papa Figos Tinto is a DOC Douro from Casa Ferreirinha, the Douro wine brand of A. A. Ferreira, a house first documented in 1751 and owned by Sogrape since 1987.

Launched in 2012 with the 2010 vintage, it takes its name from the papa-figos, or golden oriole (Oriolus oriolus), a migratory bird that returns to the Douro in spring. In July 2026 Sogrape announced a new label for the line.

The grapes come from the Douro Superior, from Quinta da Leda and from growers with higher-altitude vineyards. The 2021 vintage brings together Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca, Touriga Franca and Touriga Nacional, fermented in stainless steel vats with temperature-controlled macerations; the wine ages in stainless steel and cement tanks before the final blend. The producer recommends serving it between 16 and 18 °C.
