Petra Puro Malte

Petra is an all-malt lager from Grupo Petrópolis, the same group as Itaipava. The all-malt version was launched in 2018 under the name Petra Origem, starting in the Northeast before gaining national distribution. In August 2026, the brand introduced a new visual identity inspired by the mountains of Petrópolis (RJ), the city where it was born, and was renamed Petra Puro Malte.
As an all-malt beer, it is made with water, barley malt and hops, with no unmalted grains. Grupo Petrópolis states that it developed its own malt for the brand, named Petra Malte.
