Ron Zacapa Centenario 23 is the best-known rum from Zacapa, a Guatemalan brand created in 1976 to celebrate the centenary of the founding of the town of Zacapa, about 112 km from Guatemala City. In Brazil it is sold by Diageo, and master blender Lorena Vásquez has been responsible for the house style for more than 35 years.

It is made from the juice of the first pressing of the cane, fermented with a yeast taken from pineapple, and ages at 2,300 meters above sea level in the Sistema Solera, which brings together rums of 6 to 23 years in casks that held American whiskey, sherry and Pedro Ximénez. The petate band on the bottle is woven by Guatemalan women artisans. The house suggests drinking it neat, over ice or in cocktails.
