Ron Zacapa XO

Zacapa XO is the Solera Gran Reserva Especial rum from Zacapa, a Guatemalan brand created in 1976 to celebrate the centenary of the founding of the town of Zacapa. In Brazil it is sold by Diageo's official store, and master blender Lorena Vásquez is responsible for the house style.
According to the producer, it brings together reserve rums of 10 to 25 years, aged using the Sistema Solera in casks that held American whiskeys, sherry and Pedro Ximénez, and finishes in French oak casks that previously aged cognac. The label says it comes from virgin cane and ages at altitude. The house suggests drinking it neat or over ice, accompanied by dark chocolate or desserts.
