Rutini Colección Cabernet Malbec is the Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec blend from the Colección line of Rutini Wines, in Mendoza, Argentina. The house was born in 1885, when Italian immigrant Felipe Rutini founded Bodega La Rural in Coquimbito, Maipú; in 1924 it was the first to plant vineyards in the Uco Valley, where it began building the Tupungato winery in 2008.
It is half Cabernet Sauvignon and half Malbec, from vineyards at 1,400 meters altitude in the Uco Valley. The wine spends 12 months in French oak barrels, 40% new and 60% second-use, and the technical sheet mentions 15,000 bottles and six years of aging potential. The producer suggests red meats with sauce, stews and semi-hard cheeses.
