Spaten Pro is the alcohol-free, protein beer that Ambev launched in Brazil in August 2026 under the Spaten brand, a brewery born in Munich in 1397 and the creator of the Munich Helles style. It was developed over five years, with more than a hundred prototypes, at Ambev's Innovation and Technology Center in Rio de Janeiro, and is the AB InBev group's first protein beer anywhere in the world.
It follows the Munich Dunkel style, a dark beer, and contains six ingredients: water, malt, hops, yeast, whey protein and collagen, the last two hydrolysed. Each 350 ml can has 10 g of protein, three-quarters whey and one-quarter collagen, with no added sugar or sweetener. It is dealcoholized and produced at Ambev's brewery in Ribeirão Preto (SP).
