Susana Balbo Crios Torrontés is the Torrontés white in the Crios range from Susana Balbo Wines, in Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza, Argentina. Susana Balbo graduated in oenology in 1981, the country's first woman winemaker, worked with Torrontés at Michel Torino in Salta, and founded the winery, then called Dominio del Plata, in 1999. Crios means 'offspring' in Argentine slang.
The 2024 vintage is 100% Torrontés from the Uco Valley and Agrelo, at an average altitude of 1,015 meters, hand-harvested. It ferments with selected yeasts in stainless steel tanks at no more than 12–14 °C and spends three months on its lees. The producer suggests Asian cuisine, white meat, fish and salads.
