Tanqueray Bossa Nova

Tanqueray Bossa Nova

by Tanqueray · Gin · United Kingdom

Tanqueray Bossa Nova is a gin-based drink from Tanqueray, the London brand founded by Charles Tanqueray in 1830 and now owned by Diageo. Created by Diageo in Brazil and inspired by Rio de Janeiro and the musical genre that gives it its name, it was presented in August 2024 at an event at the Copacabana Palace, with initial sales limited to Rio.

It starts from Tanqueray London Dry Gin, in which the house macerates Brazilian guava and lemongrass. It has 30% alcohol, less than a regular gin, and is sold in a 700 ml bottle. It was designed to be mixed with sparkling water: the house recipe calls for a glass with ice, half sparkling water and half Bossa Nova.
