The Botanist Islay Dry Gin is made at the Bruichladdich distillery, built in 1881 by the Harvey brothers on the island of Islay, Scotland, and bought by Rémy Cointreau in 2012. The house presents it as Islay's first dry gin; production began in 2011, after the distillery installed a Lomond still, nicknamed Ugly Betty.

It brings together 31 botanicals: 22 hand-picked on the island itself and nine gin classics, among berries, peels and seeds, in a slow distillation of about 17 hours. It is bottled at 46%. The brand serves it with tonic water and in the Dry Martini.
