It belongs to the house's Double Cask collection, the same as the 12-year-old, and brings together whiskies with at least 15 years in cask.
The recipe combines whiskies matured in two kinds of oak, American and European, both seasoned with sherry in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. According to the distillery, the spirit stays in the same casks for all its years of maturation, and the colour comes from the wood alone, as the label states. It is bottled at 43% alcohol, in a 700 ml bottle.
