Woodford Reserve Distiller's Select is the flagship bourbon from Woodford Reserve, a Brown-Forman brand made at the distillery of the same name, near Versailles, Kentucky. The house says bourbon began to be produced on the site in 1812; the complex is a US National Historic Landmark, and the brand reached the market in 1996.
The mash bill is 72% corn, 18% rye and 10% malted barley. Spirit from the distillery's own pot stills is combined with column spirit, and the whiskey matures in new toasted white oak barrels, made to the house's specifications, in warehouses with heat cycling. The version sold in Brazil is 43.2%, and the brand suggests the Old Fashioned.
