Corona Extra
by Corona · Beer · Mexico
Corona Extra is a Mexican lager first produced in 1925 by Cervecería Modelo in Mexico City, and now owned by AB InBev. The Corona sold in Brazil is brewed here by Ambev: in 2024 the Nova Rio plant in Rio de Janeiro gained a line capable of filling 80% of the long necks consumed in the country, and the Anápolis (GO) plant also produces it.
Ambev classifies it as a Mexican Lager and lists water, malt, rice and hops as ingredients. The ABV stated by the manufacturer is 4.6%. The brand recommends serving it ice-cold, with a slice of lime in the neck, and sells it in cans and bottles from 269 to 600 ml.
