Amstel now has its first alcohol-free version. Heineken Group announced Amstel 0.0, an all-malt beer with no alcohol and no gluten, sold in 350 ml cans. The product was presented on September 30, at an event renewing the brand's sponsorship of the Conmebol Libertadores, according to Meio & Mensagem.
Distribution starts in the South and Southeast regions and in the states of Goiás, Bahia and Sergipe, through wholesalers, bars and restaurants. The goal is to reach most of the country by 2027, Guia da Cerveja reported. Each can has 59.5 kcal, the equivalent of 17 kcal per 100 ml. The price was not disclosed.
The choice of brand matters. According to Guia da Cerveja, Amstel is the fifth most consumed beer in Brazil, and the country accounts for about 51% of the brand's global volume and 65% of its sales in the Americas. Amstel 0.0 joins the +Equilíbrio platform, where the group gathers alcohol-free or lower-calorie drinks, alongside Heineken 0.0 and Amstel Ultra, according to Meio & Mensagem. The launch campaign covers wholesale, bars and restaurants, as well as sponsorships such as Carnival, soccer and the LGBTQIAPN+ Pride Parade.
The segment is growing fast. NielsenIQ data cited by Guia da Cerveja show that alcohol-free beer volume rose 17.9% in 2026 compared with the same period in 2025, and that the category is already present in 14.4% of Brazilian households. Heineken Group's vice president of marketing in Brazil, Cecília Bottai, presented the launch as an important step in the brand's expansion in the country and pointed to soccer as a drinking occasion that now gets an alcohol-free option from Amstel.
In the Bebidário catalog, the brand's classic version is Amstel Lager. For anyone who wants to compare the alcohol-free options already on shelves, the Heineken 0.0 page lists ingredients and nutrition facts, and the comparison of alcohol-free beers published in September puts Heineken, Budweiser, Corona and Spaten side by side.
