Campari Group will launch Aperol Spritz Pronto in November, a pre-mixed version of the drink sold in a 275 ml long neck bottle, to be drunk chilled straight from the bottle. The suggested price is R$ 12.90 per unit, according to JWave and Abramark, which reported the launch on October 15. Brazil is the first country to receive the spritz in this format.
The drink brings together the three ingredients of the classic recipe: white wine, Aperol and sparkling water. The alcohol content is 5%. Production is entirely Brazilian. In Europe, the brand already sells ready-made versions of the spritz, but in cans or small bottles meant to be served in a glass with ice.
Sales start in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Santa Catarina and Paraná, in physical stores and digital channels: the Amazon and Mercado Livre marketplaces and the Carrefour and Sonda apps. The company did not say when the product will reach other states. According to Abramark, the maker presents the choice of Brazil as a sign of the market's importance to the brand.
The format bets on the same convenience as the ready-to-drink cocktails that already fill supermarket fridges: no measuring, no ice, no topping up with sparkling water. The long neck's label says to drink it chilled.
Aperol is an Italian bitter orange and herb aperitif, created in Padua in 1919 and now part of Campari Group, which also owns Campari. The spritz, which mixes the aperitif with sparkling or white wine and soda water, is the best-known way to drink the brand.
