LVMH's wines and spirits division, Moët Hennessy, brought in €1.429 billion in the third quarter of 2026, compared with €1.330 billion in the same period of 2025. On an organic basis, which strips out currency effects and company acquisitions and disposals, growth was 6%, according to the results release the French group published in Paris on October 12.

It was the division's strongest organic growth of the year: it had been 5% in the first quarter and 5% in the second. In the first nine months of 2026, wines and spirits revenue totaled €4.027 billion, 3% above the €3.917 billion of a year earlier, or 5% on an organic basis.

Champagne in front

According to LVMH, the Champagne business showed further signs of the recovery seen since the start of the year, particularly in Europe. The group owns Moët & Chandon, Veuve Clicquot, Dom Pérignon, Krug and Ruinart, and the release highlights Moët & Chandon's presence in its second season as the official Champagne of Formula 1 races.

In cognac, Hennessy performed well in Asia, and in the United States sales were helped by the launch of the new VS range of ready-to-drink cocktails. Provence rosé wines kept making progress, the release says.

Against the group's trend

The drinks result stands out from LVMH as a whole. The group brought in €57.1 billion in the first nine months, down 2% on a reported basis and up 2% organically. In the third quarter, total organic growth was just 1%, held back by a less buoyant environment in China, while the United States, Europe and Japan grew well, according to the company. The fashion and leather goods division, the group's largest, fell 5% organically in the quarter.

Besides its Champagnes, LVMH's drinks portfolio includes Chandon sparkling wine, the Argentine wines of Terrazas de los Andes and Cheval des Andes, Glenmorangie and Ardbeg whiskies and Belvedere vodka.
